Murasaki Atisuto

Murasaki Atisuto

25.00

rasaki Shikibu was allegedly the first novelist ever. She wrote The Tale of Genji at around 1010 or 1012 AC. She was an educated woman, as well as a lady-in-waiting at the Japanese imperial court. She dared to write in a world where women were not even granted an education. Her family raised her that way and her bravery and elegance inspire us today.

The Murasaki Atisuto necklace combines an elegant pink crêpe fabric with a light blue, a pink liberty print flower and plain soft green and blue flowers. Vintage buttons top this bouquet of flowers. On top of the green flower we find a yellow button with the shape of a flower.

This Murasaki Atisuto necklace aspires to be ourselves in spite of the odds. It is made to empower us and to shine for who we are. We make it to make us feel proud for who we are. Houstonised revamps traditional Japanese art of flower-making with high-quality vintage materials. It drinks from the strength of the past to combat the strifes of today.
