The Eliza Shenku Sha necklace is a bouquet of Kanzashi flowers. Inspired by Eliza Wigham, this necklace transmits her pioneering spirit. Eliza was an Edinburgh-born suffragist and abolitionist at the end of the 18th c. She was the treasurer of the Edinburgh Ladies´ Emancipation Society and equally, one of the founders of the Edinburgh chapter of the National Society of Women´s Suffrage.

The Eliza Shenku Sha necklace embodies her pioneering spirit in its outstanding checked vintage fabrics and buttons. At first glance, the main navy button draws your attention. The striking checked pattern adds a level of complexity with the subtle thin yellow line. Supporting this complexity, are the two smaller silk flowers that escort the bouquet.

Houstonised adopts the Japanese Kanzashi tradition to create modern vintage accessories. As in this case, our choice of fabrics and buttons is purely Scottish-inspired.
