The Murasaki Tasan necklace is a kanzashi bouquet of handmade flowers.
The Tasan necklace is an bouquet of colors. It is a celebration of flower jewelry. This necklace blends a range of blue and soft hues, soft fabrics and a crystal button.
Murasaki Shikibu flourished as a writer in a world where only a lady at court could do so. She opened doors and developed her talents at a time only men could so. More remarkably, she is considered to be the first female novelist of all times (10th century). Truly a cultured pioneer.
Honouring Murasaki Shikibu, this necklace is inspired by her imaginative style and pioneering work. The Murasaki Tasan necklace showcases vintage, unique buttons and this combination of pastel vintage high-quality fabrics, including the navy and pink pattern. In the same way, the two buttons, the small crystal button with a golden rim, and the slightly bigger pale pink button, are also vintage. All linking materials are silver.
The Japanese art of fabric accessory-making, Kanzashi, empowered Japanese women through the centuries. Kanzashi brings together this unique myriad of vintage materials to make the look of modern woman even more beautiful. Houstonised adopts the Kanzashi tradition and gives it a modern twist with our vintage fabrics.
