Masako Yoshoku

The Yoshoku necklace is an example of handmade necklace and  carefully-chosen vintage materials, blending sustainability and colorful elegance.

The Masako Yoshoku is an explosion of joyful colors, a celebration of bloom. This necklace blends a range of colors in a special tribute to spring.

Honouring the current Empress Masako, this necklace is inspired by her nature. Empress Masako is known for being discrete and supportive of the royal family, but also assertive when necessary. Likewise, the Masako Yoshoku necklace proudly displays its talents: vintage and unique buttons and a combination of vintage fabrics. Among these fabrics, this necklace uses silk and cotton and liberty patterns. They are put together by the Japanese art of fabric flower making, kanzashi, art by which Japanese women accessorized their look.

Houstonised adapts the Kanzashi tradition into our modern trends. In this way, we combine this Kanzashi technique with high quality vintage materials to bring this art to life. Buttons are all vintage as well, including the quirky yellow ribbon button.
